Day 1: Basics of Bulk Metal Forming - Beginner

This course begins with a basic introduction to the topic of forging. The focus will then be on the common processes of cold and warm extrusion, as well as an introduction to drop forging. In the afternoon, the common machines and systems for forging will be presented. There will also be a detailed look at the impact extrusion of aluminium alloys.

Speakers from the institute and practitioners from the companies will train you and your employees in a small group with a limited number of participants. Questions, suggestions and technical discussions are also possible and welcome in this virtual training format.

Previous Knowledge required:

None, the "Beginner MU" training series is designed to impart basic knowledge of the technologies mentioned below. A further training series for "Experts" will follow.
